If you are a bass fisherman you undoubtedly know about Table Rock Lake in Missouri and the recreation area surrounding it. It is well known for the number and size of bass that can be caught most any time of the year. Finding the right person to take you on the guided trip you want will require a little time and investigation before booking the trip. The very best way to find the right guide is through word of mouth. If you know someone who has been on a tour a referral from them will help you. A good attitude is important when you are aboard the boat. The captain is skilled in what he does and his goal is see to it that you have a successful tour. If there is something bothering you it is in your best interest to speak up so it can be resolved.

While there are many species of fish in these lakes the main draw is the three separate types of bass that are so plentiful. There is a program in place that has helped to preserve the bass population over the years. Many fishermen practice the catch and release technique and bass that can be kept must be over fifteen inches long to help insure that future generations. Many record breaking bass are caught in this area.

Fishing in this area is a year round event. A good guide will know what is biting no matter what time of year you arrive and will be able to take you to the most likely places to find them. Many of the Table Rock Lake fishing guides have lived here most of their lives and have fished the lakes since they could hold a pole. You will have little trouble finding a guide that satisfies your expectations and fulfills your fish catching expectations
