Sailing Through Neptune's Bellows Antarctica

By Jonny Blair

Deception Island is a totally magnificent place and this was another amazing journey on planet earth, almost James Bond style as we waited on deck. What lay ahead was the boat having to squeeze its way through a narrow passage called Neptune's Bellows so that we could get inside Deception Island. There was a sense of wonder all around.

The weather was typical for Antarctica! We sailed through stormy waters while the air was cold and chilly. Gusts of wind arrived at intervals and from the main deck of the boat we could see the magic of Deception Island in Antarctica.

Deception Island in Antarctica is c shaped! This makes the entrance into it very tricky through the narow pasage known as Neptune's Bellows. The ship swayed a bit but the captain did a great job in steering us into into the magical Deception Island.

And the entrance is like going into the letter "c" so this was a special slow motion part of the Antarctica adventure, another exciting time to be up on deck as the captain, Bulgarian Asparuh Chorbadzhiev sailed us into the narrow entrance at Neptune's Bellows.

I didn't often visit the bridge of the ship during the Antarctica trip but on this occasion it felt like you had to be up there checking out how the captain does it. It was remarkable.

A photo of how the captain did it shows the concentration in his eyes as we steered ourselves through the straight and narrow passage to Neptune's Bellows at Deception Island.

Neptune's Bellows (630S 6034W) is a channel on the southeast side of Deception Island forming the entrance to Port Foster, in the South Shetland Islands. The name, after the Roman sea god Neptune, was appended by American sealers prior to 1822 because of the strong gusts experienced in this narrow channel.

Not long in coming and the captain had done his job - we were inside Deception Island in Antarctica having successfully steered through the narrow Neptune's Bellows! Amazing journey in Antarctica!

Ancient Temple Pyramids In Mexico

By Frank D. Gardner

Before the arrival of the European conquerors, the Mayan civilization was discovered to be one of the most sophisticated cultures that ever existed in the Western Hemisphere.

It was from 300 to 900 AD that the ancient civilization prospered and in the time of its peak, more than 40 cities comprised it that has reached countries such as Honduras, Belize, Mexico and Guatemala.

It was in the Yucatan Peninsula, Chiapas and Tabasco that the Mayan ruins were discovered. There are actually numerous ancient sites which have been discovered as well as excavated in Mexico and there were a few which have overgrown and not yet been discovered.

The Amazing And Historic Mayan Temples Of Chichen Itza

Among the Mayan archaeological sites, Chichen Itza is the most well known. Several of the most visited ancient temples here include the Temple of the Warriors or Templo de los Guerreros, El Castillo, El Caracol and Ossario.

Also referred to as the Temple of Kulkucan, the El Castillo or the Castle has 365 steps. Each of the steps in this temple represents each day of the year. This structure has four sides having 91 steps each and the 365th step is the top platform.

Among the Chichen Itza structures, the Temple of the Warriors is the most striking. It is a late classic Maya structure that can accommodate a large gathering owing to its enormous size. There are four platforms in this structure having 200 square and round columns on its west and south sides.

El Caracol is a unique pre-Columbian Maya structure which served as an observatory tower in Chichen Itza; this means snail or winding staircase.

Another stepped pyramid structure of Chichen Itza is the Ossario which is a lot like the El Castillo however smaller in size. It was Edward H. Thompson who excavated this temple in the late part of the 1800's. He was also the one who named this structure the Temple of the High Priest because he has found some precious artifacts like jade beads and skeletons.

The Mayan Temples Of Palenque

One other important ancient city in Mexico is Palenque. This place boasts several of the most famous structures like the Palace, Temple of the Inscriptions, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Cross, Observation Tower, Temple of the Skull, Temple XIII as well as Temple of the Count

Among the ancient Maya structure in Palenque, the Temple of the Inscription is the most well-known. It is 66 feet tall. The temple has 5 entrance doors and before there was a roof comb on its roof. The four piers located in the center of the temple are perceived as the remnants of the stuck figures which could have stood there. K'inich Kan B'alam was the great king who reigned in the city of Palenque for 68 years and his complete records of life and death were found in the Temple of the Cross.

The Temple of the Skull is likewise referred to as Temple XII which is situated right alongside Temple XIII. The two temples were constructed on top of a big platform and each structure has a stairway going to the top of the temples. Based on an archaeologist, the top structures were built on existing buildings.

Tulum Ancient Mayan Temples

The Pyramid El Castillo as well as the Temple Del Dios Descendente or also called the Temple of the Descending God are the significant temples found in Tulum.

The Pyramid El Castillo is the most prominent temple in Tulum. It has the shape of a pyramid and it sits at the edge of the cliffs overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Moreover, this temple served as a watchtower as well as lighthouse because there are two lanterns at the top, guiding the boats that go in and out of the port.

Tulum's small building is called the Temple of the Descending God yet it holds great significance. One can find a strange stucco relief on the western doorway of this temple; it is an upside down winged figure which represents the Mayan Diving God. The very old structure was greatly decorated with images of snakes, sun, rain and seashells.

Kabah Mayan Ruins

The Palace of the Masks or Codz Poop is the most well-known ancient Mayan structure in Kabah. This building is large and covered with masks of the Rain God, Chac.

The Carnival In Rio De Janeiro Is The Largest Carnival In The World. Are You Ready To Party?

By Jordan Ebor

Considered the biggest carnival in the world with two million people per day on the streets, the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is a world famous festival held before Lent every year and is a must-do event on any travellers list.

Rio Carnival is all about parades, dancing, music and infamous street parties. The most famous dance of Rio Carnival is the samba, which is a Brazilian dance with African influences. The samba remains a popular dance not only at Rio Carnival but also in the villages outside of the main cities throughout Brazil.

One of the main purposes of the Rio Carnival parade is for a samba school to compete with other rival samba schools. This competition is the climax of the whole Rio Carnival festival. The samba schools build floats, costumes and create songs and themes (in Carnival terminology called "enredo") for their entries. They also include the best music they can from their drumming band, which is called the bateria. There are many parts to each school's entry including up to eight floats and 4,000 party goers.

The samba is the main dance of Rio Carnival, but music in general is another major aspect of all parts of Rio Carnival. Samba Carnival instruments are an important part of Brazil and the Rio Carnival. The samba that is found in Rio is called batucada and the dance and music are based on percussion instruments. The music of Rio Carnival contains amazing beats and rhythms, which has the crowds dancing all over the streets of Rio.

Street parties take place throughout the city during Rio Carnival. There can be more than 300 street parties taking place at any given point in time. While the biggest street party takes place right outside the Sambadrome, the largest organized street dance is typically found on Cinelndia Square in Rio's Centro. In 2012, more than 2 million revellers took to the streets of Rio de Janeiro to participate in the Cordo do Bola Preta bloco. According to police estimates, more than 5 million people attend one of the street parties during Rio Carnival and there is very little reported incident of crime.

Today, some of the biggest events of Rio Carnival are ticketed events. There are different types of Sambadrome tickets that are available for purchase. Grandstand tickets are general admissions tickets that are available on a first come-first serve basis and are not allocated ahead of time. Frisas are open air box seats located along the samba runway. Camarotes are luxury boxes situated between the frisas and the grandstands. Sector 9 is the tourist sector, which are the same as grandstand tickets, with the difference being that they are allocated so people have assigned seats.

Everything You Need To Know About The Oktoberfest In Munich

By Jordan Ebor

The Oktoberfest in Munich is all about drinking Bavarian beer, consuming great local cuisine and indulging in great culture. Imagine singing along with tens of thousands of people accompanied by 'oom pah bands', while locals and tourists alike clad in lederhosen and dirndl dresses dance on tables. These facets combine to make this one adventure you don't want to miss.

More commonly referred to as Beerfest, Oktoberfest in Munich is a 16 day festival celebrating what else, but beer.

One would presume with a name like Oktoberfest it would be held in October, but it actually commences each year in the middle of September and concludes on the first weekend of October.

More than 6 million people from all over the world attend the festivities during the 16 days and in that time they consume more than 6 million litres of beer. That's 1 litre for every man, woman and child who attends.

So how did this massive drinking session come about I hear you ask? Well funnily enough it all came about because of a wedding just over 200 years ago. Back then all the residents of Munich were invited to the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig, which was held on the fields in front of the city gates. As part of the festivities horse races marked the close of the event. This was seen as a celebration for the whole of Bavaria and the following year they decided to run the horse races again. This was the beginning of what we now know today as Oktoberfest. The festival was eventually lengthened and moved to commence in September to allow for better weather conditions.

What can you do there? Drink the best beer in the world of course. There are currently 14 large tents and 20 small tents at Oktoberfest. The tents themselves are non-permanent structures that are constructed for and only used during the festival. All the beer tents play different types of music and have entertainment to keep the crowds buzzing.

What else can you do there? Well the fesitval site has numerous amusement rides, schnapps tents and activities to amuse both young and old. There is plenty of traditional Bavarian delicacies including pork knuckles, bratwurst sausages, roast chicken, potato/bread dumplings and of course pretzels.

To be classified as Oktoberfest beer, only German beer conforming to the German Purity Law may be served. The beer must also be brewed within the city limits of Munich.

The price of a 1 litre stein (or Mass in German) is around 8 to 9 Euros. However, always remember that if you want your server to return it is customary to tip them, so generally allow 10 Euro's for a beer.

Passing By Cape Horn!

By Jonny Blair

Years ago on a documentary, Michael Palin landed on Cape Horn in Chile. This small island is the southernmost tip of realistic liveable land on planet earth. All that lies south is the ice cold continent of Antarctica. I was off to Cape Horn![]

Chile owns Cape Horn - not Argentina and this is the southern tip of the series of islands known as Tierra Del Fuego. You have to love the sound of this place - Cape Horn - it has a certain charm in its very title! The idea was to see it for real, up close and personal.

it's expensive to visit the Cape of Horn. For some reason Michael Palin didn't pay for it - it would all have been covered by a generous BBC budget for the purpose of filming. My trip was on a much lower budget and I managed to backpack my way to Antarctica - the trip to visit the Horn, even just to see it on the way back was such a bonus. However the Chilean marine authorities don't let ships close to it - they issue a proximity maximum of around 12 - 13 miles except in special circumstances.

Our boat, the MS Expedition was built in Denmark, registered in Liberia and sailing between Antarctica and Argentina. On the way down to Antarctica, we seemed to take a fast, steady direct route down the Drake Passage, and late at night, meaning we were all asleep when we crossed the place where Cape Horn was. Furthermore we were a few hundred kilometres too far east anyhow![]

Russell and I had talked about whether or not we would see Cape Horn on the way back. Indeed the day before they had shown us a Cape Horn documentary which had us wondering. I asked a few of the leaders and they were tight lipped about it.

However the map of the route onboard the ship was the giveaway as we had departed from Antarctica at Elephant Island and were changing direction rapidly, instead of heading directly north, there was a slight tilting to the north west, where Cape Horn sits.

This meant we were obviously planning to sail within viewing distance of Cape Horn, which was then rumoured to be our final "surprise" on board. This was later confirmed at that day's "Recap and briefing" where we were told we would get an early morning wake up call on our approach to Cape Horn so none of us would miss out. We were told this would be around 5 am.

The night before proved to be quite a late one in the onboard Polar Bear Bar, it was our final journey on the treacherous Drake Passage and we had all bonded as a group on board the ship and on land on the magical continent. I left the bar around 2.30 am, with many still up. Sunset had passed us by on the west and sunrise had begun in the east, giving the boat the odd position of one side in darkness and the other side in early morning light.

It was only 2 hours in bed and then up again so that we could actually see Cape Horn. It was a massive crowd gathered on deck for the viewing as we inched closer to the horn itself. It must have been 6.30 when we finally caught sight of it.

Finally just before 7 am we had the announcement that we were on our approach to Cape Horn. We were also informed that the Captain had been in touch with the Chilean authorities and that we were able to breach the normal barrier of 12 - 13 miles within the Cape.

Everyone gathered on the very top deck laden with cameras and warm clothes. It was a joy just staring out at this remote piece of land on the south tip of Chile knowing we had seen the end of the civilised world. We didn't land on it, but we saw it.

All You Need To Know About The Running Of The Bulls in Spain

By Jordan Ebor

Immortalized in literature by Ernest Hemingway, the San Fermin festival, held annually in the city of Pamplona between 6 and 14 July, is an explosive, passionate and occasionally gory festival that is an important element of Spanish heritage. Its most famous event is the the running of the bulls or 'encierro' but it is in essence a weeklong celebration that includes many other traditional events. The festival is known by the locals as Sanfermines and is held in honour of St Fermin, one of the patron saints of the area, although most people around the world refer to the event as the Pamplona Bull Run, or just simply Pamps. Over 1 million people attend each year and it has become the most internationally renowned festival in Spain.

Every July hundreds of mad Spaniards and tourists run through the streets trying to get out of the way of these rampant bulls, down an 825-metre (0.51 mile) stretch of narrow streets of a section of the old town of Pamplona. The actual running of the bulls involves people running in front of six bulls and another six steers. Yes, you know the scene - you have seen it on the news every year.

The encierro is run each morning at 8am between 6 and 14 July. The encierro is an experience even just for spectators. It is a spectacle that is defined by the level of risk and the physical ability of the runners. But hey, there is much more to the festival of San Fermin in Pamplona than a crazy bull run.

At noon on 6 July the festival commences with the setting off a chupinazo, or fire cracker, from a city hall balcony. There are literally tens-of-thousands of people celebrating the start of the festival around the city hall square.

On 7 July thousands of people accompany the 15th-century statue of Saint Fermin through the old part of Pamplona.

Each morning of the festival there is the parade of giants and big heads. These giants figures are amazingly more than 150 years old.

There is a bullfight at 6:30pm each evening between 7 and 14 July. While the bullring of the city is the fourth largest in the world, it is full every evening and involves the six bulls that were driven to the bullring during the morning's Bull Run.

Thousands of people watch fireworks each and every night at the citadel park to conclude the days activities.

Where Should You Go For Your International Spring Break Vacation

By Grace Charvin

It's a simple answer if you're a College Spring Breaker, your 18-20 years old and you want to party like there is no tomorrow. If this is the case, due to the underage drinking laws across the entire United States, there is no point going to a domestic destination for your Spring Break adventures.

There are heaps of places to head for your International Spring Break experience, below are some of the best.

Cancun is a gorgeous paradise that has grown in popularity to become the top international Spring Break destination. Most of the time, especially during the day, Cancun Spring Break Headquarters is around Fat Tuesday, which was featured in the movie, "The Real Cancun". The movie showed the world just how wild Spring Break is in Cancun. Like Las Vegas, whatever happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun, so I don't have to tell you how crazy it can get.

Acapulco - The beaches here are endless. You just can't beat a lazy day on the beach enjoying the breeze, the surf and the sun while keeping your cool with a tall tropical drink. If you would like to check out a bull fight, Acapulco boasts the second largest arena in Mexico. The world-famous divers of La Quebrada dive 136 feet from the rocky cliffs into crashing surf below. You may have seen them on TV or in the movies. The city is also home to clubs that are among the most impressive in the world.

Famous for its crystal clear water and constant temperature of between 78 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit or 22 to 28 Celsius, Montego Bay, or Mo-Bay, as the locals call it, is considered the capital of Spring Break in Jamaica.

In the quest of an endless summer and awesome sunsets, Negirl in Jamaica is the once sleepy little fishing village discovered by hippies during the 1960's. Negril offers an unspoiled 7 mile stretch of white sand beaches crowned by low lying cliffs.

Grand Bahama - Is an island paradise conveniently located less than 100 miles from Miami. It is this close proximity to the United States that has stimulated the development of the island's many resorts and casinos. The island is well known for its reef-protected shoreline with its many cays and white-sand beaches.

Once inhabited by such notables as Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Mary Reed, Nassau in the Bahamas is the place to go if it's the pirate's life for you. The island still provides a safe haven for those seeking to escape from despotic academics.

If there is one must-do event on any college students calendar it is the Spring Break vacation.

A Rock Like a Penis in China

By Jonny Blair

China is still an unknown travel gem for the most part, I really believe that. Especially for those that cannot speak Chinese. For example my latest trip to China was to Shaoguan and Danxiashan both in the north of the Guangdong province, neither of which are even recognised as locations on most travel websites. I was the only foreigner in sight, and certainly the only one to do the hike to Penis Rock. These unknown gems of China even fail to make it into the popular traveller's bible The Lonely Planet. In fact, not even the city of Shaoguan is featured in the latest edition - China Lonely Planet. []

What is dick rock/the yang yuan rock?

It's a rock shaped like a penis. A willy, a dick, a cock, a nob, a member, a wee man. Whatever name you want to call your manhood. Apparently it's natural. But it seems too natural to be true really. Even the curvature at the tip of this willy is similar to a real one.

Finding and accessing the rock is easy enough if you are Chinese, or at least speak it. If you are not Chinese it could take you a while to find it but will be some adventure!

Start off by getting to Shaoguan city, this is a massive city in north Guangdong, the province in China. You can get there easily by high speed rail. China's high speed and normal train network is extensive so you will have no problems. The bus from Shaoguan out to the mountains will be the trickier journey.

When visiting Danxiashan you should stay in the village of Yao Tang up in the mountains. You can get a hotel there easily and it is also near another small village called Jin Jiang. This is where the walk to penis rock starts.

You need an entrance ticket. They are valid for 48 hours and cost 120 Yuan (RMB). We were there at the weekend, apparently tickets are cheaper at 100 Yuan (RMB) during the week. You have to buy them at the ticket office just before you cross into the National Park.

Once you get inside the National Park try and buy a map so you can get your bearings. Danxiashan mountains are huge and a map will come in handy, but it will be in Chinese!

The view from the top of the Pavilion is outstanding. On the other side you view an incredible sunset from the top of a Fortress. Finally I had to do at least one funny photo when I was there at Penis Rock. The Chinese are such a shy race when it comes to sex, nudity and willies, this photo attracted more odd looks than laughs!

What? A massive rock in the shape of a man's dick.

Why Go? It's an unusual rock, a marvellous sunset, exceptional hike, cheap beers, great views.

Daily Spending - Less than 10 US Dollars

How To Find Bike Tours

By Frances Keith

Check the internet for information about wisconsin bike tours. Remember that there are various information that can be found on the internet and that information about business establishments and professional services are not something unusual that you find on the web. There are internet tools that you can take advantage of.

The most popular tools that people use when they search the internet are search engines and online directories. Examples of search engines are google, yahoo, msn. These are the leading and the biggest database systems on the internet today but there are still other search engines out there.

Of course when they see the website, they will be exposed to the information written in the website. The information written in the website introduces the business or the company and the service that they do. It does not matter where the reader is from but what is sure is that there is a fair chance that the eyes of the person have caught glimpse of some of the words written in the website of the company.

That is why there are times that you get confused looking at this large volume of information. You do not know what to do with them or you get confused which one of them to read first. In one particular query, you can have more than ten pages of results.

They are actually one of the best information that you can acquire from somebody. The fact that you know these people is the reason why you trust them and would likely believe their recommendations. People who have tried using the service will have something to advice to the people who are searching for the service and service providers precisely because they have had the experience.

It is important and necessary that he has someone or a company to work on this side of the business so that he can concentrate in running the business affairs. The business owner must also understand that once you promote your business online, you do not stop at creating the website. Even if a business owner is not technically informed and educated as I. T. Professionals and web development professionals, it is needed for him to at least know how things work in the web when promoting the business online.

Information or results in the search engine are arranged in order of relevance to the topic. So the more relevant the topic is, the higher its rank in the search engine. Most probably the information will be displayed in the first page of the result. An online directory on the other hand is a business listing.

Simply, it is a listing of the different business establishments in the country. The listing is arranged in so many ways. Some of the system arrangement that they do is by location. They group together companies that are operating within a particular local area. Listing companies like this is very useful especially if you want to know what are the different companies that are operating within the area for this service.

A search results page can only accommodate a certain number of information. Not everybody can be displayed in one page. The wisconsin bike tours companies that do not land on first page, of course can be found in the second and the next pages of the search results.

In the past active adults would have to make their own fun. They did not have much around them to keep them satisfied so they would have to start their own clubs or go out on their own to find things to keep themselves busy. It was these people a generation ago that made it possible for people today to get their blood moving without so much trouble.

People who consider themselves within this mold will generally seek out others who are the same way. That is why there are even places built for such people to live. When there are a lot of people with the same traits or at least similar goals, they will of course tend to flock together. They will usually end up living in areas specifically designed for like minded people.

It can be even harder if you end up getting sick of catch something that keeps you bedridden for a period of time. It is good to have like-minded people around you and if you come from a family of active adults then you might be in luck. Thankfully the communities that they move to can keep things going even when they cannot.

If you are not this type of person, it can often be very hard to keep up with a friend who is. They will always be looking to find more out of whatever it is you are doing. They will want to take things to the next level. If you are swimming they will want to go to a lake. If you are boating they will want to water ski.

They might job in the early hours of the day and then come home and clean the entire house. They will do this routine everyday because it makes them feel good to have something to do. They might have four children and each of them play a sport so they volunteer to be the driver for everyone's kids too.

Of course this also applies to seniors as well. It is not just the younger generation who likes to keep busy and try new things. They will often move into retirement communities that cater to the older generation that refuses to stay at home and watch television or put together puzzles. Reading groups and playing cards are simply not enough.

They will join exercise groups and even go on hikes or sometimes something a little more daring. They have even been known to go skydiving too. Many of them will do everything they can to keep active or keep up with whatever their hobbies used to be. If they were a firefighter for example they might start a training course or a club just for firefighters.

Active adults are more common today then they ever were before. They say it is because the medical field has found ways over the years to keep them healthier then ever before. Then there is the fact that there are simply more places for them to do things. Even traveling clubs who come to your home so they do not have to actually go out. At least they are still keeping busy.

By Tabatha Fickel

Centuries ago, it is said that fleet-footed messengers could convey fresh caught fish from the coast to Machu Picchu within a matter of hours, using the "Inca Trail". The trail is not a single route, but a system of roads that connected the far-flung parts of the empire. By booking in well in advance, today's tourist can trek any of several stretches that still exist. Perhaps the best-known one is the four-day route from Cuzco to Machu Picchu.

History and architectural wonders are combined in the City of Lima. You can spend time visiting the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi dedicated to Saint Jude. This edifice is in the Spanish Baroque style. Associated with the church is a monastery, catacombs, and convent with an extensive library. Many geography texts mention Lake Titicaca, which is the highest navigable lake in South America. It lies at more than two miles high. The location spans the border between Bolivia and Peru. Visiting this part of Peru is a challenge because of the altitude. Many people will suffer altitude sickness unless there is a slow acclimation period.

A different type of physical fitness is needed when you want to do some mountain bike treks. Some travelers begin at Cusco and travel to Puerto Maldonado using a mountain bike. This type of exertion requires athletic stamina and is not for a person who hasn't prepared physically.

An opportunity to ride Peruvian Pasos horses makes an unforgettable holiday in Peru. These gaited horses have been called the Cadillac of horses. The ride is exceptionally smooth, with none of the jolting and bouncing that is typical of the quarter horse and other breeds. What To Know Before Purchasing Hot Tubs Philadelphia

By Frances Keith

There is nothing better than soaking in a nice hot tubs Philadelphia at the end of a long day. It is an experience that relieves stress and takes away the tension of daily activity. This kind of water therapy is known as hydrotherapy in circles of alternative medicine. Nevertheless, choosing a Jacuzzi that fits your needs can be a challenging task.

The current spa market is dominated by two types of Jacuzzis; permanent and portable models. The permanent type is built inside the ground by seasoned constructors using materials such as cement and marble. They are expensive to construct and maintain since they require a huge capital outlay. Most families prefer to purchase the portable models which are normally placed on the ground. They can be moved around for storage as need arises.

Different types of spas have diverse seating capacities. The common market models range from two seats to ten. The customer must consider their individual and home needs before making a purchase. The buyer must consider the average number of people using the equipment. For instance, it would be unwise for an individual with a family of six members to purchase a three seat spa. This could lead to potential conflict around the house.

The location of a spa is a significant consideration for the homeowners. It is mostly directed by the availability of space in and around the house. Other factors such as prevalent climate and security of an area are also of significance when choosing the location. Jacuzzis can be placed inside the house or outside in a backyard. It is important to have a source of electricity near the container to facilitate heating and pumping of water.

Most customers who purchase Jacuzzis are attracted to the massage feature. This product is ideal for reducing stress and relaxing the body. Customers who buy for massage must consider the number and dispersion of water jets in the machine. The number and speed of jets should not be used to hoodwink consumers. Rather, they should consider the alignment and positioning of jets in relation to body muscles.

The comfort of the jacuzzi seats is also a significant determinant to the type of product purchased. Some manufacturers are not competent in terms of design and quality. This means that they produce spas with uncomfortable seating arrangement. It thus becomes necessary for the consumer to test the Jacuzzi before purchase. Most retailers even allow their potential customers to wet test the product to ensure maximum satisfaction.

Other than the common details, the consumer should look out for models that offer extra perks. By Traci Witt

Jump roping is a sport that is still pretty young. At least on a national competition level anyway. While it has been around for a very long time it was not until recently that more and more people took it up and made it a valid sport. It was then that speed ropes started to hit the scene and everybody wanted in. Whenever there is a way to do something faster or bigger, it will usually grab someone's attention.

Jumping rope is no longer just a children's game played in the street. There are people who are taking this sport to the next level and doing it bigger and faster than most people would have ever guessed was possible. The competition teams are traveling around the world and filling arenas all because people want to see what they can do.

There are even groups of people who have taken the sport freestyle. Teams of athletes who have developed a variety of tricks to be done with speed ropes are also wowing thousands every day. Making appearances on morning news shows and prime time television it seems the sport is gaining the recognition it has long sought out.

The speed ropes sold today are of such a high quality that they probably would not even be recognizable by someone who participated in the sport even ten years ago. Using a rope is even a thing of the past, even though it is what they are called. Cables are the in thing now and not just any cable but high tech thin and fast cables.

You never need much to do this type of exercise. Even if you do not want to get too crazy with it right off the bat, you can start off slow. As a matter of fact, that is the recommendation for people who have not done this before or who does not have a lot of experience with it. It can be extremely tiring and really wear you out fast.

So many companies today have gotten into the speed ropes business that you can search the Internet and come up with over a hundred results. Looking in world record books also can give some insight into the popularity of the sport. People are vying for new records every year. Rotations per second or super long endurance records.

People are trying to use these in more ways than ever. Even those who do a double jump are getting into the act. At first an urban game played by girls in groups and switching off every few jumps, there are now competition teams that travel all over the world using high quality products that are used by professionals everywhere.

It can be like running or sprinting. Large amounts of energy in short bursts. It might not be for everybody but that does not mean you shouldn't at least give it a try. Speed ropes can do wonders for your body and your conditioning. Just make sure you do it right and do not push too far too fast. Just like anything else, start off slow and build up to a higher workout. You want to lose calories and build your strength.

Belize Is An Incredible Scuba Diving As Well As Adventure Destination

By Linda Patterson

Do you have any idea about Belize? If your answer is no then you do not have to be ashamed because there are lots of people who are not aware of this little country that is sandwiched between Guatemala, western Caribbean Sea and Mexico.

Belize is one of the places where the ancient Maya civilization flourished. This tiny country is rich in natural resources. The anonymity of this country has helped in the conservation of its environment. If you are an adventure lover then a Belize tour will take you to an exciting outdoor adventure.

The coast is packed with picturesque resorts and there are several islands referred to as cays off the shore which served as a marine life sanctuary. Among these is the Ambergris Caye which is recognized but when you're seeking a less crowded and not too modern setting then it is Caye Caulker that you must check out. Aside from a rural ambiance, this atoll is within close to a lot of diving and also snorkeling sites.

The Great Blue Hole is amongst the famous diving sites that have earned popularity all over the world. This can be included in your Belize scuba diving tour package.

Did you know where the Great Blue Hole began? It is actually a result of a process which was triggered 15,000 years ago during the Ice Age, when the level of sea-water dropped considerably hence uncovering the limestone below. Underwater caverns were formed when much of the limestone eroded after the fresh water poured in gradually. For quite some time, there was a solid roof supporting a hollow network underneath then when it could not anymore hold, it collapsed resulting in an enormous sinkhole. It's quite a challenge to explore the depth of this hole. The depth of this hole is bottomless hence it is strongly recommended that you have an experienced diving instructor close by.

Tres Cocos and Hol Chan Marine Reserve are some of the other well known scuba diving sites that are worth exploring. Little Channel or Hol Chan in Maya language was created in the year 1987 and this marine reserve has provided sanctuary for an abundant variety of marine life such as nurse sharks and stingrays.

Embarking on a Belize travel package will also take divers to another amazing scuba diving site called Punta Arena Canyons. Also referred to as 'Small Cut', this diving location includes a couple of canyons which can be reached through a triangular entrance. The marine life is amazing and this makes the diving experience memorable and enriching.

If you are an avid bird watcher then you should not miss the chance to check out the Booby birds on Half Moon Caye in the Zircote forest. From the three Booby bird species which one can find in Belize, this isle is where you can find the white variety which has different black markings on its wings. The best place to see these birds and their light blue eggs that are nestled among the orange flowers of the Zircote thicket is from the observation tower.

Got some time left? Why not take this chance to interact with the ethnic inhabitants or take a walk along the beach. At the end of your vacation, you will surely want to go back to Belize someday.

How To Spend Your Vacation In Playa Las Tortugas Nayarit

By Esther Salazar

You can spend your time as a volunteer in playa las tortugas nayarit helping to preserve the endangered sea turtles. Mexico's pacific cost is known to be the breeding ground of the fragile sea turtles. However with pervasive industrial development, this breeding ground is at risk of soon becoming commercial beach properties where vacationers and tourists stay.

Mexico is home to many species of sea turtles. They are used to millions of sea turtles. However, with the changing environment and the pollution brought by economic development, their numbers are dwindling every time.

There are only a few species left and they are also in great risk of extinction. That is why environmental organizations especially those that are concerned about the plight of these sea turtles are calling out to those who have a heart for these sea turtles to spare a few of their precious time. Spend time with these turtles and help them live even for just a little while longer.

Vacationers would then spend the night away in the beach partying until the break of dawn, leaving a huge pile of wastes from the night's wasting away. In the morning, you can expect to see garbage and all sorts of trash on the seashore left b last night's celebration. As much as possible, no industrial development should be allowed in the area or near the area.

They can get stepped on by stomping careless party goers especially during the night when they come in droves to the shore to hatch their eggs. Here is a little trivia for you. According to studies, sea turtles always come back to the place where they were born.

They have to make do of what humans left of them of the earth. Business minded people should just spare this area for their ambitious and selfish interest. They are rich enough to spare this one and should just give it to the sea turtles. You can volunteer to patrol the beach during the night. It is mostly during the night that sea turtles land ashore and go to their nesting places.

The eggs are then collected in boxes for incubation. You can help collect these eggs. Of course, there is an orientation given to volunteers how to handle the eggs, the baby turtles, safety measures for the volunteeers and among other important things of the activity. Many organizations are looking for volunteers. You can look up some of them on the internet.

Try to put yourself in the position of the turtles and you would know how cruel it is to strip the of their habitat. Checking with your local municipality also helps ensure that you are connecting with the right or at least legitimate organizations. So if you do not still have plans and even if you do, you can still change that, why would you not spend it guarding the area as a volunteer.

It will be a good experience for you. Something unique and you have not done yet. It is also a good opportunity for you to meet other people who chose to spend their time in playa las tortugas nayarit.

Tips In Selecting A Scuba Training

By Esther Salazar

It is important that proper scuba training Atlanta should be done first before exploring the ocean floor. Diving into the underwater requires divers to have the proper skills needed to survive the condition down under. The living condition under seawater is not similar to the ground above it.

Humans breathe on air while living organisms down under breathe through water. Underwater pressure increases as one goes deeper into the abyss. The territory is unfamiliar for humans and it has not been explored that much yet. There is still so much to know about the ocean.

The professional is expected to have the necessary experience and education of the service. If you can get ahold of his credentials, that would be good. Evaluating the credentials let you know his educational background and work experience. Speaking of experiences, he must relevant experiences.

There are gears and tools needed to make the experience an enjoyable one. A diving center that teaches the techniques of diving can be of great help in pointing the right equipment for the trip down under. You can try to find a learning center that is located within your local area or in the area near where you want to undergo a sea exploration.

There is no way that a person should be allowed to go diving without the necessary orientation. He needs to be oriented first with the necessary safety measures and equipment. This is for his own good. These safety measures are going to guard your life while you are under the water.

You need to know if the diving course is according to standard. The education must be of good quality. Be informed that establishments offering diving courses have websites. You can check out their websites to know more information about their school. Inquiries about the school are mostly done through the website by those who are interested to enrol.

Use the internet as well in finding learning centers. Many business establishments are using the internet to promote and conduct their business. That is why it is almost always a guarantee that you will find a service provider on the internet. Some stores that are selling gears and tools for diving also provide side services like giving education about diving to those who want to explore the ocean a few meters below.

Even if a store is not providing educational training on diving, they may have some information on places that do. Inquire if they know some place that provides the education. People providing the education are divers themselves, of course. They should be experienced.

Without it, there can be no practice to be possible. The equipment needed must be complied with before the start of class. Depending on the depth of the education, the duration of the classes ranges from a few hours to a few days. The students are given a heads up about the necessary equipment of the scuba training Atlanta.

How To Find The Right Air Conditioning Contractor

By Esther Salazar

Maintenance of the Tempe air conditioning units is one of the most important thing that should be done in the house. Properly maintaining the units can allow proper control of the house's inner temperature. It can be cool and humid during the hot summer days while it can be warm and comfortable during the cold winter evenings.

With the said contractor, the maintenance of the said airconditioning unit will be made less difficult. The said contractor is highly skilled in this field so there is nothing to worry about. In order to find the said contractor, follow the tips that should allow for the proper selection of a quality contractor amongst the pool of qualified professionals.

First of all, it is important to know how long the professional has been in the industry. This is a tip that should allow the person to avoid those fly-by-night companies which pop up in the industry without any credibility. However, make sure to remember that the length of the time the company has been in business does not reflect the quality of its work.

Take a look at the company's referral list. The referral list should be an lengthy list of the people the company has done work for. It is necessary so that one can have contact to people who will give a first-hand testimony of how good the quality of work of the said contractor is. This is not necessary if one is referred by a friend or relative, though.

Get the bids from the top three companies in this industry. This bid usually details the service that the company will provide and how much it will cost the client. With the three bids, it is highly possible to make a proper comparison. Of course, the person will also need to know about the average rate in the market to properly compare rates.

Consider the rate as one of the factors used for deciding which contractor to entrust the job to. However, do not make this as the sole reason for choosing a contractor. When it comes to the rate, it is only a given that it is within the normal average rate in the industry.

Think about the warranties as well. It is important to know the warranty for the work to be done by the said company. With the warranty, the house and the unit will be protected from any damages that may be caused by the contractor. If damages or accidents happen, it is fine to expect due compensation for it.

Remember to check out the contractor's permits and licenses. Almost all professionals have a license or a permit that they have to carry in order to ensure that they are operating within the bounds of law. This is also a way to show how these professionals are taking the responsibility for their profession.

Be sure to create a schedule for the regular cleaning and maintenance. If the cleaning and maintenance is done regularly, then the Tempe air conditioning can work at its best for a long time. Maintenance is necessary for ensuring the best performance of any machine, after all.

California's Best Wineries: Livermore Wineries

By Philip Vonwrede

With a span of 5,00 acres, more than 40 wineries claim their home in Livermore Wineries. These wineries specialize in Spanish and California blends. With its surge of new wineries all over the wine region, the latest one to pop up is boutique right beside the historic buildings that has redefined the reputation of California as a wine making industry. Aside from that, Livermore has a whole lot more to offer other than their wines. It now has a lot more activities and events that people can participate in, such as free of charge wine tasting events for all the guests.

3 Steves Winery

The conception of the 3 Steves Winery started when 3 pals were just lounging around enjoying each other's company while drinking wine. Before that, they already ventured in the wine business with a modest winery boutique. Couple with their wine-making skills, they launched their brand without any major setbacks. They believe that if they made use of the numerous different varieties of grapes that are planted and harvested right in Livermore, not only will it benefit the wine region as a whole, but it would enable them to produce premium wine at their vineyard.

Concannon Vineyard

Concannon Vineyard is one of the vastest wineries found in Livermore, totaling a yearly assembly of over 30,000 wine cases. They are more popularly known for their Concannon and Petite Sirah wine blend. In addition to that, they also make a lot of other wine mixtures such as the well-received Chardonnay. Concannon is presently a member of The Wine Group by James Concannon in 1883. It is always supplied the altar or sacramental wine for the needs of the Roman Catholic Church. Because of this, they have been christened as the California Historical Landmark.

Garre Vineyard & Winery

Luxury Limousine Transfer Service For Company Visitors

By Cindy Campbell

An airport, especially a large international one, is hardly ever a relaxing place to stay in. The security measures, while important, can be very tedious. Not to mention, the place is full of thousands of travellers dashing in and out of terminals to catch a flight or hail a taxi ride daily. So simply imagine the stress of people stepping in an airport. If you have an important company client arriving, it's best to treat them like the VIP that they are the instant they have stepped out of the airport.

Flight delays, airport security measures, and check-in period requirements make it impractical for travellers to spend less time in an airport than they should. If they were given a choice, they would simply skip it all. But that isn't feasible so they end up waiting in a busy and taxing airport.

There is nothing you can do about the condition in the airport, but you can do something about the comfort of your company visitors. Make them feel welcome right away after a harried flight by picking them up from the airport in style. A limousine service can give them a majestic greeting right for them.

Of course, you want to show your VIP visitors just how warm and sincere your organization is. Have them arrive and depart to the airport in style with a grand airport transfer service. Your guests will understand the effort and it will show that your business cares about their welfare and comfort. It might not ensure the deal your business is after, but it can surely help out your case with them.

Also, how you treat your guests says a lot about your company. If you let your visitors ride a public cab or even a mid-class car for an airport transfer, it would look like your business is stingy and struggling. In business, appearances are important too.

Whether you're expecting just one or a few VIP guests, prioritise their comfort. Renting an airport transfer limo or maxicab service makes sure that there is somebody who can greet your guests upon their arrival. There will also be a welcome sign with their names so they would know at once whom to go to. After that, they will have full luxury transport service and guidance.

An airport transfer service also gives effective assistance aside from comfortable travel from the airport to the hotel and organization address and vice versa. It comes with a reliable chauffeur who makes sure that everything is right on time. Since he knows his way around the city, he would know the traffic situation on the street and how to navigate it effortlessly, giving the guests a smooth, safe and stress-free ride.

Tips To Improve Your Personal Travel Experience

By Johnathan Black

Many people do not take advantage of having the opportunity to travel because there are so many details to consider. Learning the best methods to traveling is going to help you in opening the many doors that are presented to you, from traveling to so many great places around the world.

Before traveling make sure you get enough sleep. For many people, the few days before their vacation are filled with either stress or excitement, sometimes leading to a lack of sleep. When this happens, you tend to 'crash' when you reach your destination, meaning that you waste vacation time because you are already exhausted. A good night's sleep before traveling will mean that you arrive invigorated and upbeat.

Reach out to your network. Social networking sites make it simple to get suggestions from your friends and pick their brains for information. Post a question about your destination and you'll likely garner many responses. These instant answers are especially helpful when you are on your trip and looking for a place to eat ASAP.

If you wish to travel abroad, try learning about the language. You can easily find small guides that contain all the essential words, in case you get lost or need something. Do not assume that everybody will speak English. People will be friendlier if you try speaking their language.

Not everyone can afford to stay at the Ritz, and sometimes you get stuck at a less than one-star hotel. If you aren't comfortable with the area but have no choice, pack an ordinary rubber doorstop. You can wedge it in under the door to your room overnight (in addition to the lock and chain, of course). While intruders can easily break the lock or chain, getting into the room is next to impossible with a door stop firmly lodged beneath the door.

Remember, when traveling abroad it is better to avoid drinking the local tap water. Most visitors will be unaccustomed to the local water, and can get quite ill. It's much easier to go to the local supermarket or grocery store, and buy bottled water instead. It cuts down your chance of sickness, as bottled water is usually produced to the highest of standards.

Save money on your local travel when you arrive at your destination. By doing a bit of research into the various means of public transportation, you can avoid costly ground transportation such as taxis. Taking the bus for instance, can not only be cost effective, but also more enjoyable than chasing down cabs and paying those fees.

You now have some great ideas about the methods to use when traveling. The tips in this article were written to help every potential traveler make the most of the time that he or she gets to spend traveling and experiencing the wonders of the world. Now that you are informed, consider opening the doors to the world through travel.
