San Francisco is known for as a travel location for many distinguished sites, plenty of which are known around the world thanks to the characteristic architecture of the historical buildings in San Francisco. The building was first opened in 1951 to the public. Visitors can see outstanding ships from the 1800s in all of their glory. Tour these extraordinary ships and find out about their marine history.

Journey to another era with a visit to Fort Point. Once used as a hiding place for the military, now it has been the location of many movies, including "Vertigo" by Alfred Hitchcock. This area is also integrated in the famous Nintendo game, "Grand Theft Auto". This structure was built in 1776 and today is crumbling a bit a bit. Still many folks plan out days to go here and see the magnificent views from this area.

Roughly 1.5 miles off the shore of San Francisco, visitors will find the island that holds the jail Alcatraz.
