By Marci Glover

Tourism has gained a lot of popularity in the recent decades where people do a lot of things for recreation. There are very many different methods of getting to enjoy themselves and many people are quickly embracing this recreational idea. Guided bear hunts have gained a lot of popularity where people go to some camps and they practice hunting for fun as they are guided by professionals. There are companies that specialize in this type of activity.

Their main hunting trips are carried out for a specific period of time like three weeks. There is usually a vast piece of land where the activity is carried out. It is normally their responsibility to make sure that this land is secure and that their visitors will not be disturbed by any other hunters.

Regions with many blueberries raspberries or blackberries usually have lots of bears and hence they are most appropriate for this action. The hunting is generally done with bait that is retained at a distance safe for the visitors so that are not pounced on. Both practiced hunters and the amateurs are commonly permitted into the sites. This is for the reason that the expert guides provide them with the knowledge they need.

The visitors are usually required to book the trips in advance so that the guides are able to prepare for their stay. Once they arrive they are normally given an orientation of the activities taking place. They are usually provided with tips for placement of the bait, how to size the bear, how to take the shot, controlling their emotions and many other important things in relation to this trip. All weapons are usually welcomed ranging from firearms and bows.

The visitors are provided with different types of packages. The packages differ depending on the length of time they wish to stay. Their cabins are normally prepared so that the visitors have a place to stay in between the hunt missions. There are rewards for the hunters who do a pleasant job. These gifts may be in the form of trophies.

What the vacationers pay the charge for the outing it provides for all the activities that take place on the trip. This includes the cost of the escorts, the bait and transport from the action site to the cottages, ground dressing and retrieval. Photographs are permissible on the journey and the award winners are commonly permitted to ship their awards to the cabins.

After the bear has been caught it is hung, weighed cleaned and later hanged down as the hunters await instructions from the taxidermist. The bear is later butchered by the company and the visitor is helped to pack it. The visitor now takes responsibility for the transportation of the meat to their home.

This kind of activity is recreational and gives someone an outdoor experience that is very fun and mind engaging. It is an advisable method of spending free time for people who like challenges. This is an adventure that carries many experiences in one which makes it more fun.
