A Guide To Myanmar Backpacking

By Timothy Stevens

Myanmar, or formerly known as Burma, has been one of the most beautiful places for backpackers to visit when they would go on vacation. This country is one of the most uncovered ones in South East Asia. If one would want to go Myanmar backpacking and see the sights, then here is a guide on some of the places to go to and visit.

Number one on the list of places to visit would of course be the city of Yangon. It is in this very place that one will be able to see the biggest pagoda in the country known as the Shwedagon Pagoda which is the only gold colored pagoda in Myanmar. This pagoda is known to be the most amazing of all pagodas in the entire region of South East Asia.

Another place that backpackers would often fancy is the Kyaiktiyo with the world famous Golden Rock. If one is a little bit adventurous, he can stay in the little town there known as Kinpun town and visit the Golden Rock a day after. There are also a lot of great hiking trails to explore here if one is into hiking and wilderness trekking.

Now if one would want to enter a rather busy street, then he might want to visit Mandalay. Mandalay is home to the U Bien Bridge which is a very beautiful spot that many couples flock to because of the romantic atmosphere that it gives off. Of course, there would also be the very beautiful Mandalay Hill that can be found in the outer sections of Mandalay.

Now if one would want to go to a place where a lot of temples reside, then the best place to go to is none other than Bagan. In fact, Bagan is actually home to around a thousand really beautiful temples. To make things even more interesting, one can ride around a horse carriage in order to view some of the temples in the place.

If one is more into the nature scene, then a place that he will definitely want to visit is Lake Inle. Lake Inle is the center of forests and a lot of wilderness. If one is into hiking, then he will enjoy trekking from Kalaw to Nyaung Shwe after he comes from the lake. The lake is also a great place for him to relax and chill.

If one would want to enjoy a beach scene, then he would most likely want to visit Ngapali Beach. This beach is not like a resort that is full of luxurious hotels and such. It is an untouched beach that is full of huts and trees.

So as one can see, there are actually a lot of sights to see here and a lot of great places to go to. If one would make his way to this country, he will without a doubt be able to enjoy himself to no ends. This country is definitely an untapped oil well that needs a lot of exploring.
