Popular Miami Mounuments

There are several monuments in Miami that are listed on the U.S. list of Countrywide Historic Landmarks, an amazing tool for anyone that is looking for unique places to go to. The city of Miami is a great location for anyone with a desire to learn more about the history of the US and Miami.

Liberty Tower

Maybe the most well known of the Miami monuments is Freedom Tower. Often called the Ellis Island of Miami, Freedom Tower is where many Cubans came to immigrate to the U. S.. The tower was donated to Miami Dade Varsity and is now used to often host art displays. This landmark located in the heart of Miami is picturesque and an ideal spot for pictures.

Miami Biltmore Hotel and Country Club

The Miami Biltmore is a luxury unlike all others. The spa services and the peerlessly maintained golfing course are enough luxury for many guests. Add unique dining experiences (like Palme d'Or ranked best overall experience by Zagat), the Biltmore Culinary Academy where celebrity chefs give personal lessons to guests all combine to give an elegant and refined experience for any traveler.

Ferdinand Magellan-United States Car No. 1

One of the Miami monuments that's located at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum is the position of choice to view the Ferdinand Magellan, the 1st Presidential Rail Vehicle. While the inside of the train is now not available for public viewing the well-documented history of this automobile makes it a crucial part of American History. This automobile was one of the last personal train cars that were ever built and it's the only passenger vehicle on the list of National Historic Landmarks. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is a cheap and fascinating place to quickly learn much about American History. Any person with a deep interest in trains will have an excellent time having a hands-on experience with the antiqued train cars and a chance to ride some of the trains that have been revived for the public.

The Miami Circle at Brickell Point Site

This landmark is an archaeological location of the Tequesta Indians from 2000 years back. This perfect circle cut into the rock is a site to see. The park is quiet and totally open, offering a unique waterfront and a perfect place for a calming afternoon within the busy town. This is the most recent monument in Miami to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. Tours of the funeral sites at Miami Circle at Brickell Point Siteare offered by the Historic Museum of Southern Florida.

Vizcay Museum And Gardens

Monuments in Miami like the Vizcay Museum and Gardens give the culture of Miami it?s unique flavour. This museum is the property of Miami-Dade county and the lovely architecture and plants make it a stunning location for amateur and experienced photographers alike. The gardens are full of striking rare and exotic plants that are maintained marvellously. The open-air house has been the home of one or two influential USA citizens over time and refurbished many times with luxurious accouterments everytime.
