By Christopher Reynolds

Southern Africa is surrounded by countries that have beautiful natural scenery. Most tourists make it a priority to visit the region in order to see the wildlife, scenery and to interact with the native people. The area consists of countries namely; Botswana, Angola, South Africa and many others. When we talk tourism in the southern Africa, we cannot fail to include the Namibia tours and travels.

The natural scenery are plenty in number but only the big 5 awe views are mentioned. The landscape is so unique that one cannot help to take photos for memory purposes. One of them is the Colossal Canyon. The second one is known as the Damara landscape. Both of these landscapes are beautiful to look at owing to their uniqueness. The Damara landscape contains huge rocks and a beautiful sunset view.

The third wonder of Namibian beauty is the Sossusvlei Sands which contains huge clay wrapped in red sand dunes covering most of the Southern region. The satisfaction derived from the uniqueness in the colors, size and flora is beyond imagination. The fourth one is the Cape Cross Critters which is characterized by Cape Fur Seals that bask in the sun; a view one cannot ignore. Last but not least, is the Ship to shore. Most of the native people believe it holds supernatural powers.

Most of the travels companies provide the visitors with self driven vehicles while others prefer being driven by the tour guides. The vehicles provided are designed in such a way that guarantees comfort and their safety as well. Also they are able to navigate their ways through the rocky grounds through the terrain.

While on the safari, one must ensure that they consult the safari guides before they depart. Here they will get vehicles that will be useful in taking them round the sites. The vehicles need to be in good condition to guarantee the safety and comfort of the client.

There is nothing as cumbersome as visiting a country that is experiencing long rains. The experience gets worse because the visitor is not able to see the wildlife. Therefore, they are advised to visit the country between the months of May and September. This is winter time and is characterized by the relatively warm temperatures (20c-25c) during the day and cool during the night.

In order to avoid inconveniences caused by last minute rush, one needs to look for more information on the internet. Most of the tour hotels have placed information their rates and services they offer so that one can make advanced booking. Also, they can get information concerning the terms and conditions required in the country.

Most countries like Namibia rely heavily on tourism as their major foreign earner. They are blessed with unique animals that are fun to watch as they coexist with the others. The ministry in charge of tourism has a duty to ensure that the visitors get a value for their money by providing them with all they need.
