The Many Attractions Of Fairfield County, CT

By Joseph Tranturder

The New England area is full of interesting places to go and sights to see. Each city has its own unique flavor, culture, and interest. The trick is knowing what to do in each location you visit. Take a look at the top 3 cities to hit in New England and find out what to do there.

First up is New York City, NY. The Big Apple has been a central hub for all things business and culture for so long that it couldn't help but become a living museum of both. If you find yourself trying to take a bite out of this apple though, there are a few places where you'll get the greatest taste with every attempt. Check them out.

There is no end to the amount of television, movie and musical references we could say to remind you just how famous and important Broadway is in New York City life and culture. But more importantly, as my father once said, "You can't NOT go see a musical on Broadway when you're in New York." Tickets are available online, at the location, or in a raffle in front of each musical's individual theater. Depending on the time of year and the musical you are trying to see, raffles can be an easy way to win tickets at a highly discounted rate.

One of the main attractions of Fairfield County is its proximity to the state and city of New York. The close vicinity between New York and Fairfield County draws many to the area who will use cities like Bridgeport and Stamford to access New York City and its many attractions.

Second is Boston. Boston is famous for more than just its tea party. Home to the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and several other major league level sports that have not only done well in their respective leagues, but have excelled. There is always a game going on somewhere in Boston that you can become a part of.

Accommodations

The city scape is absolutely stunning. The architecture is unparalleled. Ranging from the old Victorian styles to contemporary sky scrapers, there is a unique and beautiful building around every corner. It's definitely a place for the architecture minded visitor.

Third and finally is Stamford, CT. Located on the south-west corner of Connecticut, it makes for a nice bridge between the two previous cities. It is close enough to allow you easy access to the big apple (especially considering the high traffic levels in the area), and allows you to escape the busy city for a peaceful night's rest in a boutique hotel in Stamford.

From the hotel package deal transportation is available to Grand Central Station in New York City. From there, transportation such as taxis or subways can take you anywhere from Time's Square to the airport. It is recommended to buy a Metro card to use during your stay as it would be more expensive to buy individual tickets every time you take it. Do not forget to never bend it or it will be void.

Beyond museums and sports teams, the Fairfield county of Connecticut offers multiple attractions of culture with its numerous theater houses and aquatic tours of the local coast line and its rich history. With all that can be done in Fairfield County, CT, it has become a great vacation destination for families across the United States.
