Bayshore Boulevard is a waterfront road on Hillsborough Bay in South Tampa. Located south of downtown Tampa, its sidewalk, claimed to be the longest continuous sidewalk in the world at 4.5 miles long, is 10 feet wide and is mainly used for recreation and exercise. The 3-mile bike lane, a linear park, and the Bayshore Greenway Trail provide scenic views of urban Tampa and the water. One side of the drive is lined with stately historic homes and modern towering condominiums while the other offers a fabulous view of Tampa Bay. On any given day you might see joggers, skaters and bikers out on their daily quest for exercise while others come just to soak up the sunshine and the view.

Morris Bridge Park. The park is best known for its river fishing, boating, hiking, off-road bicycling, bird watching, and picnicking. Alligators, turtles, water snakes, frogs, fish, hawks and wading birds are commonly seen on this property. Al Lopez Park. This park is made up of approximately 132 acres of Florida wildlife, offering an enjoyable view. If it isn't the land that sparks your interest, it will be the ponds. There are two ponds that fall within the boundaries of the park. The northern pond offers fishing, and some have said that the fishing is what sets Al Lopez Park aside from other parks. Amenities include a pier, ball fields and courts, playgrounds, trails, dog park, picnic areas, and restrooms.

East Bay Raceway Park. This track is a gem tucked away in an industrial area. Its one-third mile dirt track features many classes of stock cars racing. Its very low admission price appeals to those who enjoy good family fun. Last race night featured a destroying an old motor home and a demolition derby. There are many food concession stands with almost a carnival atmosphere. If you are a race fan this is the place to be on a Saturday night.

Hikers can walk over seven miles of nature trials: Rapids Trail, Baynard Trail, a sub-section of the Florida Trail and the Wetlands Restoration Trail, which accommodates bicyclists and hikers only. Weather permitting visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim in the park's ADA accessible swimming pool. The park offers full-facility camping and a youth/group tent campground. A primitive campsite is available via foot trail; reservations are always recommended.

Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. Located on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida, the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is a truly unique place. Founded in 1971 by zoologist Ralph Heath, the Sanctuary is the largest non-profit wild bird hospital in the United States. Experienced professionals assisted by over one hundred dedicated volunteers staff the facility.
